Death Stranding is an open-world action and to-the-seat corner video game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Wherein the game is exclusive for play station 4. The director of the game ‘Death Stranding,’ Hideo Kojima, states that this was his company’s first game in 2015, the new start-up after his share’s termination from Konami officially happened in the conference meeting of Sony E3, 2016. After the game’s official launch, game lovers can soon find ‘Death Stranding’ PC downloads on the web spaces.
The Characters
The game ‘Death Stranding’ features the actor Norman Reedus (famous for ‘Walking Dead Fame’) as the protagonist of the game and Mads Mikkelsen (famous for ‘Hannibal’) as the antagonist of the game along with the celebrated film director Guillermo del Toro who were all portrayed in the game through the motion capture techniques. The game’s title actually refers to the phenomenon of Cetacean Stranding.
The Gameplay
The action play game would be a good feast for game lovers who love action, adventures, and thrilling moments. The game is set in an open-world environment wherein there are multiple player mode functions for the fun-filled moments and to engage the gamers much more. The game was designed by a legendary games designer from Japan who scooped up the gaming industry and introduced new dimensions to the Industry Icon Award on the show night.

The game ‘Death Stranding’ is all set, ready with big-view teasers and trailers to create hype amongst the game lovers to tinkle their curiosity on much more level. At the Game Awards, the game director Hideo dropped the game’s teaser in real time on PS4 Pro.
Another released trailer recently portrayed the scenes of a post-apocalyptic world with dead babies replacing the deceased whales that time around! What’s weird about this? Wait for the Death Stranding PC version!
What Death Stranding is all about?
Death Stranding opens its trailer scene with a quote from William Blake’s ‘Auguries of Innocence: To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wildflower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour, wherein the scene then moves to a deceased crabs-covered beach, and then the camera gets panned to the game’s protagonist – Norman Reedus.
Norman Reedus is found lying on the breach shores, where he is entirely off clothes with a broken handcuff on one wrist. The camera is about panning on him, and he gradually sees a newborn baby at his feet. All that stuff quickly disappears, leaving him in black oil hands, wherein the sight invisibly shows the baby’s footprints walking away from our protagonist, Norman Reedus.
Then the camera pans, showing that Norman Reedus is getting up, seeing the whole beach shore covered with deceased whales. He then looks upward, staring at the sky and seeing a few ominous figures in the air floating here & there in front of him that look like Dementors, as in Harry Potter.
Though the audiences are left unclear that no guess can be made from the trailer shows and the poetic reference of those couple of lines from William Blake, we await Death Stranding download on PC.
The turning points
William Blake’s lines, “Auguries of Innocence: To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wildflower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour,” reveals a warning sign to all the man kinds that the causes for society create negative impacts when nature is mistreated. This is portrayed in the potent depiction of oil, and deceased whales spread everywhere on the beach.
Norman Reedus, the game’s protagonist, seems to be awakened into a post-apocalyptic world that is not similar to the zombies’ kind. It happens when nature is mistreated, resulting in the abuse of the human environment; as shown in the trailer picture, oil gets spilled in all the corners of the globe, leaving the place unfit to live in.
Hideo Kojima’s Partnership
As we discussed above, after the business termination between Hideo Kojima and Konami, he partnered with Killzone developer Guerrilla Games to make use of the new Decime engine (the one that is powering Horizon: Zero Dawn) to develop a unique concept game and title of the game Death Stranding. Kojima has opened the locks about the partnership. And here are his thoughts on Twitter:
“The space development competition has stagnated after the Cold War. Due to the steep rise in the price of space development cost, the investment in the Earth has been strengthened, and they gave up on the space shuttle program. Meanwhile, I, who wanted to proceed to the moon, met the guerrilla whose plan was to go to mars. We decided to make the rocket by reforming their engine. And doing so enables us to go to the mars but even Jupiter”.
Though Kojima was uncertain about the script of the game a few months back, at the Tokyo Game Show, Kojima Productions’ Twitter Account confirmed a set release date for the game, wherein the game lovers are waiting fingers-crossed!
